How to Verify Any Auto Appraiser

1. Ask for their ASCAA certification number. Real ASCAA members will provide this immediately and it can be cross-checked at the ASCAA website.
2. Confirm USPAP compliance. USPAP is the federal standard adopted by the Appraisal Foundation. Reports that do not cite USPAP are not professionally compliant.
